Return Policy
1. Save your receipt! Absolutely no refunds or exchanges
of any kind will be given without an original receipt.
2. Returns of purchases made with a bank card will be credited to
the card. (Card must be presented to cashier for refund).
3. If your class is cancelled, please return your books immediately.
4. Textbooks purchased for Fall and Spring semesters may be returned
(postmarked) during the first 2 weeks of the semester for a full
refund or 2 weeks from the date of purchase, whichever is later.
5. Textbooks purchased for Summer or special sessions may be returned
(postmarked) during the first week of class ONLY. Books purchased
for one-week classes must be returned by the second day of class.
6. All returned textbooks must be in the same condition as when purchased,
in original packaging with all components present and CDs or web access
codes unopened. Once shrink-wrap is removed from the book, it is
no longer returnable for a full refund. New books that have been
damaged, soiled, highlighted, or written in cannot be returned for a full refund.
7. All other bookstore merchandise may be returned (postmarked)
within two weeks of purchase, in original condition and accompanied by
original tags and packaging. Electronics must be returned unopened.
8. If you need to ship your return, please package merchandise with
appropriate and adequate padding and ship via insured carrier.
If we receive your shipment in damaged condition, we cannot
grant a refund. Please enclose a copy of your receipt or packing list.
9. Returns of defective items will be issued an exact replacement.
10. The UMA Bookstore offers buyback daily, but the best times
to sell your books are during finals week in December and May.
